WELCOME TO THE FENNVILLE ROD AND GUN CLUB!

The Fennville Rod and Gun Club is a non-profit volunteer operated organization dedicated to the preservation of the great outdoors, and the ongoing promotion of all the shooting sports. FRGC is located in the heart of the beautiful Allegan State Game Area. Covering twenty acres, the facility includes two lighted trap ranges, two lighted skeet fields, and a covered rifle/pistol range with 25, 50, 100, 200, and 400 meter berms.

CLUB HOURS AND ACTIVITIES

  • Trap and Skeet open on Tuesday evenings 5:00pm - 9:00pm April through September.

  • Trap and Skeet every Saturday from 12:00pm - 4:00pm

  • A 50 bird A-B Calcutta is held on the last Friday of every month. What we consider an A-B Calcutta is a draw type Calcutta that has shooters classified as either "A" shooters or "B" shooters. An "A" shooter is someone who is relatively proficient at Trap- known out in the woods here as a "good shot". A "B" shooter is someone who is either new to shooting or has not yet reached the point of being a "good shot". The folks drawing the Calcutta will classify the shooters as A or B and then the teams are randomly drawn so they are made up of A and B shooters. These Calcuttas are shot from the 19 and 21 yard lines. The evening begins with a few 16 yarders, then a Protection or two, and then the Calcutta is drawn and sold. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to pass. The games begin at 5:00pm and usually end around 11:00pm. Folks, we usually have between 12-16 teams shooting, so come on down for a busy, fun night of shooting.

  • A 100 bird Protection Calcutta is held at FRGC every second Sunday of the month. Games begin around 10:00am, with the Calcutta starting at approximately 11:30am. FRGC hosts the second Calcutta in the monthly West Michigan Calcutta Series. The shoots occur monthly in this order;

1st Sunday - Barry Co. Cons. Club

2nd Sunday - Fennville Rod and Gun

3rd Sunday - Howard Twp. Cons. Club

(if no ATA shoot scheduled)

4th Sunday - Gun River Trap and Skeet

5th Sunday - Howard Twp. Cons. Club

(if no ATA shoot scheduled)

  • A Pancake Breakfast is served every second Sunday of the month, April - October, and is open to the public.

  • Monthly club meetings second Thursday of the month at the clubhouse. Doors open at 6:00pm. Meetings come to order at 7:00pm. Members ONLY allowed at FRGC club meetings. All members are encouraged to attend these meetings and actively participate in the operation of their club!

Hunters Safety class dates are now posted. If you or your child need to obtain a Hunters Safety Certificate visit the clubhouse on the first day of the monthly class schedule and begin the process. Details can be found on the "About the Club" page of this web site.

Thanks to everyone who attended the 2008 Fennville Grand!  We hope you had fun and will plan on attending the club for future events.
